基本情况：
华东国家计量测试中心是国务院计量行政部门批准建立的法定计量技术机构，挂靠在上海市质量技术监督局。“中心”的技术依托是上海市计量测试技术研究院。
中心主要任务是负责研究、建立、保存部分国家计量基准，华东及上海地区的最高社会公用计量标准，承担华东地区的量值传递和量值溯源工作；同时还接受政府主管部门和国内外机构及客户委托，承担计量器具新产品、进口计量器具的定型鉴定和样机试验，以及计量校准，公正计量等工作。
中心拥有各种专业仪器设备原值达到1亿2千元左右，实验室面积45000余m2，共获国家、省部级科技成果奖76项。中心拥有强大的学科阵容，它设有几何量、温度、力学、电磁学、光学、声学、化学、无线电、时间频率、电离辐射等十大计量专业研究室及上海市计量器具强制检定中心，国家原子能机构和世界卫生组织所属的“二级放射性剂量学实验室”、“上海市电磁兼容重点实验室”、“上海市在线检测与控制技术重点实验室”、以及上海市燃气、容量、眼镜、商品房面积等计量公正站。
中心在质量管理上也显示出了出色成绩，2002年华东国家计量测试中心通过了国家法定计量检定机构考核与复查以及中国实验室国家认可机构（CNAL）依据《实验室认可准则》等相关标准进行的评审/复查。

Introduction：
Introduction: The “NationalMetrologyCenterfor East China” is a legal technical organ in metrology which was established by the metrology administration department under the state Bureau. Its main tasks is responsible for developing, establishing and maintaining a part of national primary standards and the reference standards in east china, transferring to the working standards and measuring instruments, carrying out pattern evaluation and prototype testing for new type of measuring instruments and imported instruments. It also accepts the entrustment of domestic and foreign organs to offer calibration and measuring service.
The Center owns various specialized instruments and equipment with original value of RMB 120 million and laboratories covering floorage of over 45,000 square meters. The center won 76 scientific and technology achievement prizes of state, province and ministry level in total .
The Center owns powerful teams of various disciplines. It boast ten metrology labs including that of geometry, temperature, dynamics, electromagnetic, optics, acoustics, chemistry, radio, time & frequency, ionizing radiation and Shanghai center of compulsory verification on measuring instruments.
It established secondary radioactivity dosage lab attached to international atom energy organization and world – health organization, Shanghai key lab of electromagnetic compatibility, Shanghai key lab of online testing and controlling technology and measuring station for fair trade including that of gas, capacity, glasses and areas of commodity houses.
The center has also made excellent achievement in quality management. In 2002, it passed the test and reexamination as a legal metrology identification body. The result of the assessment run by China National Accreditation of Laboratories (CNAL) according to the relevant standard including “Laboratory Accreditation Criteria” showed that its quality system was in constantly optimized status and the whole – process quality control was well conducted.
