基本情况：
天津市计量技术研究所于1981年3月由天津市科学技术委员会批准成立，是独立的自然科学研究机构、社会公益型事业单位、隶属于天津市质量技术监督局，是依法设立的省级法定计量检定机构，是国家质量监督检验检疫总局授权开展重点管理计量器具新产品定型鉴定技术机构之一，天津市产品质量监督检验站第26站挂靠于该所。
天津市计量技术研究所坐落于天津市新技术产业园区，占地约3万m2，总建筑面积近2万m2，其中集中控制恒温实验室面积达3200 m2，授权对外开展计量检定、校准和检测工作。该所是独立的事业法人单位，拥有固定的专职管理人员和实验人员，具有先进的专业实验仪器和设备。
研究所共有科技人员210人，其中高级工程师73人、工程师78人、初级工程技术人员45人，高级技术人员占科技人员总数的34.7%。
研究所建有社会公用计量标准206项，其中计量工作基准3项。所建立的计量基、标准覆盖了十大计量，基本满足了天津地区计量检定工作的需要；授权开展计量器具新产品定型鉴定和样机试验工作，以及电能表、非自动秤、水表、煤气表的重点管理计量器具新产品定型鉴定工作。已开展电磁兼容和环境试验的检测工作，可满足计量器具新产品定型鉴定、样机试验及产品质量监督检验的需要。
研究所已通过中国实验室国家认可委员会校准/检测实验室认可，对外开展计量器具校准；信息技术设备，家用电器，照明灯具，工业、科学、医疗设备，以及其他电气类产品的电磁兼容检测；电气类产品的环境试验检测工作。

Introduction:
Tianjin Research Institute of Metrology was founded in March 1981 approved by Tianjin Science and Technology Committee. It is an independent natural science research institution, which is public welfare and is subordinate to Tianjin Bureau of Quality Technology Supervision. It is a province legal metrological verification institution which is set up according to law. It is also one of technology institutions for key metrological instruments, new product final appraised authorized by the State Administration for Quality and Inspection of the People’s Republic of China. It is authorized to be engage in electric meter, nonautomatic weighing instrument, water meter, gas meter etc. key management metrological instruments’ new product final appraisal. Tianjin the 26th Station of Products’ Quality Supervision is attached to this institute.
Tianjin Research Institute of Metrology (TRIM) is situated in Tianjin new technology industrial area. It covers the area of 20,000 m2. Among which 3,200 m2 are controlled constant temperature laboratory area. TRIM is authorized to be engaged in metrological verification, calibration and test. TRIM is an independent corporation. There’re permanent and full-time managing personnel and laboratory technicians, as well as advanced specific testing equipments and instruments.
There’re 210 specialized technical personnel in the institute. Among them 73 personnel are senior engineers, 78 engineers and 45 junior engineers. Senior engineers amount to 34.7%.
206 items of public standards are set up in TRIM. Of them 3 items are primary standards. Primary standard and standard cover ten fields of metrology, which satisfy the need of metrological verification in Tianjin region. It is authorized to be engage in electric meter, nonautomatic weighing instrument, water meter, gas meter etc. key management metrological instruments’ new product final appraisal. The testing of electromagnetic compatibility(EMC) and environment test can meet the needs of new product final appraisal, sample test and product quality supervision test.
TRIM passed through calibration laboratory assessment by China National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (CNAL). It can undertake calibration of metrological instruments; information technical equipments; electrical household appliances; lighting lamps; industry; science; medical equipments, and other electrical equipments’ EMC testing, as well as electrical equipments’ environment test.
