基本情况：
辽宁省计量科学研究院是集计量检定、校准、检验、科研、开发等为一体的技术机构，隶属辽宁省质量技术监督局，是依法设置的法定计量检定机构，是东北国家计量测试中心所在地，属于社会公益性的科学研究机构。
我院座落在沈阳市美丽的南湖湖畔，全院占地面积34000m2，建筑面积21000m2,实验室面积12200m2，其中恒温室面积4390m2。由综合实验楼、精密恒温楼、热工楼、电离辐射楼、学术交流厅等11座各具功能的楼宇构成完整的建筑群。
我院现有固定资产2932万元，仪器设备3000余台件，总价值1800万元。院内共设置4个职能管理部门，11个研究室。现有职工88人，其中教授级高工4人、高级工程师39人、工程师31人,承担东北地区及辽宁省的量值传递工作，同时又承担着全省各类计量仪器的型式评价、样机试验等有关检测任务，开展计量标准器、智能化测量仪器等产品的研制和开发。
我院现有社会公用计量标准118项，其中国家临时基准1项、大区级标准46项、省级标准71项，覆盖长度、温度、力学、电学、无线电、光学、理化、声学、时间频率、电离辐射等十大计量专业，承担全省的样机试验工作。我院是国家授权的电能表、热量表、煤气表、水表、非自动秤定型鉴定中心，也是省计量器具产品质量监督检验站、省电光源产品质量监督检验站、省眼镜质量监督检验站。
我院于2002年1月通过了中国实验室国家认可委员会的认可，2002年8月通过了国家质检总局组织的法定计量检定机构复查考核。

Introduction:
Liaoning Provincial Institute of Measurement (LIM for short), also the national northeast center of metrology and test, is a legal metrological verification institution under the Liaoning Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision. And it is a technical and public institution with the functions such as verification, calibration, inspection, research and development.
By the side of the beautiful South Lake of Shenyang is the group of 11 buildings of LIM, which includes the Comprehensive Building, the Precision Constant Temperature Building, the Thermal Building, the Ionizing Radiation Building and the Academic Exchange Hall. LIM has a land area of 34000m2, a building area of 21000 m2 and a laboratory area of 12200 m2 (a constant temperature area of 4390 m2 within).
LIM has fixed assets of ￥29 320 000, about 3000 instruments worth ￥18 000 000. And there are 4 administrative departments and 11 laboratories in LIM. With the staff of 88, which consists of 4 professorial senior engineers, 39 senior engineers and 31 engineers, LIM undertakes the missions such as the transfer of the value of qualities throughout the northeast region and Liaoning province, the pattern evaluation and the prototype testing of the measurement instruments in Liaoning province, and develop productions including the metrological etalons and intellectualized measurement instruments.
118 social public measurement standards have been established in LIM, including 1 national temporary standard, 46 regional standards and 71 provincial standards, and cover the metrology fields of length, thermal, force, electricity, radio, optics, physical chemistry, acoustics, time and frequency, ionizing radiation. And LIM is the national authorized pattern evaluation center of electrical energy meter, calorimeter, gas meter, water meter and non-self-indication weighing instruments, also the provincial production quality supervision and inspection station of measurement instruments, electrical light source and glasses.
LIM had been accredited by the China National Accreditation of Laboratories (CNACL) in Jan. 2002, and reexamined as the legal metrological verification institution by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of P.R.C. (AQSIQ) in Aug. 2002.
