基本情况：
该院是国家依法设立的计量检定机构，是省计量器具和眼镜产品质量监督检验机构。承担计量器具新产品的型式评价和样机试验、生产和销售领域的计量器具产品质量监督检验和科技成果的检测鉴定工作，同时还承担全国几何量工程参量计量技术委员会秘书处的工作。
该院开展了几何量、热工、力学、电学、无线电、时间频率、光学、声学、物理化学、电离辐射、机动车检测设备等计量检定、校准和产品质量检测、检验工作，建立了10大类138项社会公用计量标准，可开展检定、校准项目259项，样机试验35项。是国家授权的“出租车税控计价器”、“非自动衡器”、“水表”、“煤气表”计量器具新产品的型式评价单位。
该院下设11个检测室、5个研究室、l个技术服务部，并拥有8000平方米的办公大楼，其中实验室面积6500平方米，恒温实验面积1600平方米，目前在用仪器设备1409台（件），固定资产总价值约1100万元，该院建成了覆盖全院办公系统的微机管理信息网络。
该院在七十年代就在国内率先开展了计量技术的科研工作。先后完成了一系列的科研成果，现已具有一定规模的科研产品开发能力。已有5项科研成果荣获国家科技进步奖或发明奖，有30项科研成果获省（部）级科技进步奖。产品广泛应用于全国电力、计量、仪器仪表等行业，取得了显著的经济效益和社会效益。
目前在全院130名职工当中，研究员级高级工程师6人，高级工程师61人，工程师18人，助理工程师11人，享受政府特殊津贴2人，省级优秀中青年专家2人，大专以上学历占全院职工的80%以上。

Introduction：
The institute is a legal organization of measurement and verification established by the state, which is also a provincial supervisory and testing organization for the measuring instruments and glasses products. It is responsible for the pattern evaluation of the new measuring instrument products and the supervisory and the testing for the quality of the measuring instrument products. Meanwhile it undertakes the work in the secretariat of the state geometry amount and project parameter measurement and technology committee.
The institute are engaged on measurement and verification, calibration and testing for the quality and the inspection in Geometry Amount, Thermal Technology, Mechanics, Electricity, Radio, Time and Frequency, Optics, Acoustics, Physical Chemistry, Ionization Radiation and the measuring instrument of the motor vehicles. It has established public measuring standards of 138 projects in 10 kinds, which can verify and calibrate 259 items and sample experiments of 35 items. It is also a pattern evaluation organization authorized by our state for “Price calculation in taxi tax”,” non-automatic weighing apparatus”, “Water Gauge”, “Gas meter” the new products.
There are 11 testing offices, 5 researching offices and 1 technology service office in the institute, with a main building of 8000 square meters, in which testing area are 65000 square meters and the constant temperature area are 1600 square meters. Now the number of the using instruments and equipments is 1409;and the total value of the fixed assets is about 11 millions. It has settled an information management network that covers all of the office system.
In 1970s, we took the lead in working on the researches in measuring technology all over the country. After that, we finished a series of scientific productions, and now, we have already had the ability of developing new ones. There are 5 items up to the state science and technology progress prices or invention prices; 30 items for the provincial science and technology progress prices. The products are widely used in the fields of Electricity , Measurement ,Instrument and Apparatus. They have already achieved remarkable economic and social results.
Now, among 130 stuffs, there are 6 high rank engineers in researcher level, 61 senior engineers, 18 engineers and 11 assistant engineers. 2 persons enjoy the governmental special subsidy and 2 are provincial outstanding young or middle aged experts. More than 80 percent have the academic credentials of college or above.
