基本情况：
山东省计量科学研究所成立于1978年，是山东省质量技术监督局依法设置的法定计量检定机构,山东省计量技术研究及检定、校准和检测中心。设有山东省计算机质量监督检验站、山东省黄金珠宝玉器产品质量监督检验中心、山东省计算机网络质量监督检测中心、山东省社会公正计量行、国家贵金属首饰、钻石、宝玉石检验员职业技能鉴定站和国家珠宝玉石营业员职业技能鉴定站。
其占地面积25000m2,建筑面积11000 m2,恒温面积2500 m2，仪器设备原值2000多万元。设有6个职能科室，10个专业室、3个质检部门及3个科研开发部门。现有职工171人,专业技术人员126人，其中高级技术职称人数48人，中级技术职称人数42人。建立社会公用计量标准175项,已开展长度、力学、温度、电磁、无线电、时间频率、化学、光学、声学、电离辐射、电磁兼容、安全试验、计算机检验、网络检测、黄金珠宝玉器检验和电能表、煤气表、衡器、热能表、水表重点管理计量器具型式评价等检定、校准和检测项目800多项。主要承担建立计量工作基准、计量标准、进行量值传递、计量检定、校准、产品检验、计量技术咨询、测量技术与产品开发研究、制修订技术法规、计量标准考核、计量认证评审、计量器具型式评价和样机试验、ISO9000质量体系认证咨询等任务。
1995年被国家科委认定为第一批国家级科技成果检测鉴定检测机构；1997年通过国家质量技术监督局考核授权及实验室认可；1998年被列为山东省重点科研实验室；2000年成为中国电磁兼容认证中心第一批签约检验机构； 2002年被国家认证认可监督管理委员会指定为3C强制性产品认证及石材放射性检测机构，2002年顺利通过国家质检总局组织的法定计量检定机构授权复查考核。

Introduction：
Shandong institute of metrology (SDIM) was established in 1978. It is a service of legal metrological verification and subordinate to Shandong Bureau of Quality and Technology Supervision. SDIM is the center of research for metrological technology, verification, calibration and test. There are Shandong Provincial Center of Quality Supervision and Inspection for computer, Shandong Provincial Gold and Gem Testing Center, Shandong Provincial Center of Quality Supervision and Inspection for computer network, Shandong Provincial Firm of Fair Metrology for Society，State Appraise Center of Inspector Occupation Skill for Jewel and Gem and State Appraise Center of Shop Assistant Occupation Skill for Gem in SDIM.
SDIM covers an area of 25000m2, with built-up area of 11000 m2 and constant temperature space of 25000.The Original value of instruments is more than 20 million yuan. It subordinates 6 management departments, 10 technical divisions, 3 inspection centers and 3 researching and developing branches. There are 171 personnel, including 126 professional technicians. Among them there are 48 senior engineers and 42 engineers. 175 public standards have been established in SDIM. More than 800 items of verification, calibration and test have been carried out, including length, mechanics, temperature, electromagnetics, electronics, time and frequency, chemistry, optics, acoustics, ionic radiation, electromagnetic compatibility, safe test, computer inspection, computer network inspection，gold and gem inspection and pattern evaluation of electrical energy meter, gas meter, weighing instrument, calorimeter and water meter. The main tasks of SDIM are to establish working primary and public standards; to disseminate the values of quantity; to execute verification, calibration, inspection technical consultation; to develop technical of measurement and measuring instrument; to revise and draw up technical laws; to undertake examination of measurement standard, metrology accreditation, pattern evaluation of measuring instruments; to be also engaged in consultation for the ISO9000 quality system registration etc.
In 1995, SDIM was approved by State Scientific Commission as the first group test services for scientific outcome appraisement and test, and passed laboratory accreditation in 1997. It was included in the Shandong key laboratory of science and research. SDIM became the first group inspection institution of China Certification Center for Electromagnetic Compatibility in 2000. It was approved by Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA)as China Compulsory Product Certification(3C) and Radionuclides in building materials test organization, and succeed in the examination of the service of legal metrological verification in 2002.
