基本情况：
广西计量测试研究所成立于1979年，是广西质量技术监督局依法设置的法定计量检定机构，是广西计量检定、校准和检测中心，其前身是1933年成立的广西省度量衡检定所，1958年成立广西壮族自治区计量管理处，设长力、热电科。全所占地面积10000m2，实验室面积6600 m2，恒温实验室面积1200 m2。拥有仪器设备固定资产1000万元。在职职工85人，中级以上技术职称人员占70%。全所设有长度、力学等九个专业实验室和三个职能科室以及计量产品质量监督检验站、计量公正站。
已建立包括长度、力学、温度、电磁、化学、无线电、时间频率、光学、声学、电离辐射等十大类118项社会公用计量标准。2001年通过CNAL认可校准项目117项，2002年经国家质检总局考核授权的检定项目260项，校准和检测项目131项。
广西计量测试研究所遵循“抓管理、保服务、求可靠、重证书”的质量方针，严格按照ISO/IEC17025：1999和JJF1069—2000要求进一步加强和规范实验室的质量管理体系。建立了计算机计量管理网络系统，实现了计算机处理检测数据、打印证书/报告、档案及客户送检仪器等的科学化、规范化管理。

Introduction:
Guangxi institute of metrology & measurement established on 1979, legal metrology organization that Guangxi province Bureau of quality Technical Supervision set up in accordance with the law. It is a centre of metrology verification and calibration & measurement in Guangxi province. Its predecessor established on 1933, named Guangxi province institute of weighets and measures verification.The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region office of metrology management established on 1958, set up length, strength, temperrature, electricity departments. The whole institute occupation of land area 10000m2, buliding area 6600 m2, constant temperature area of laboratory 1200 m2, There are fixed assets instruments and equipments price 10 million yuan .
