基本情况：
宁夏回族自治区计量测试所是宁夏回族自治区人民政府计量行政部门依法设置的国家法定计量检定机构。成立于1974年，隶属宁夏回族自治区质量技术监督局，是为全区技术监督执法提供技术保证，为全区企事业单位计量器具进行量值传递服务的公益型全额拨款事业单位。
本所的主要工作职责是：
负责建立计量标准及社会公用计量标准；
承担全区量值传递，执行强制检定、仲裁检定等法律规定的检
定任务，承担非强制检定、校准、检测技术服务；
承担全区计量产品定型鉴定、样机试验等法律规定的检测任务；
负责起草计量技术规范，承担各专业计量检测技术培训任务；
本所位于“塞上江南”——银川市市中心，实验设施总面积6000m2，固定资产原值774万元（其中仪器设备384万元），已建长度、力学、热工、理化、电学各类计量标准61项，可开展160多种计量器具的检定、校准和检测工作。
本所现有职工78人，其中行政管理、后勤服务人员16人，计量检测人员58人。按职称划分，高级工程师14人，中级职称（工程师、会计师、实验师）28人，助理工程师16人。
我所的机构设置为：5个科（办公室、业务科、质量保证科、财务科、人事劳动科），7个实验室（力学室、长度室、电学室、热工、理化室、流量室、衡器室、出租车计价器检测室），2个省级质量监督检验（测）站（宁夏计量产品质量监督检验站、宁夏定量包装计量监督检测站），1个社会中介计量服务机构（宁夏眼镜公正计量站）。

Introduction:
Ningxia Regional Testing Institute of Metrology is a state legal metrological verification institute, which is designated according to the law by the concerned administration department with the government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The Testing Institute of Metrology was formed in 1974. It is under the command of the Ningxia Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision. It is a state funded enterprise to provide technical support to carry out the technical supervision regulations in The Region.
Terms of Reference
To be responsible to set a metrology and measurement standards;
To distribute united units and measurement standards within the Region; to undertake compulsory and arbitrate verification to the lawful equipment and provide non-compulsory verification, calibration and testing services;
To appraise the quality and sample testing of measuring products in Ningxia.
To draft metrology regulations, to conduct professional train in the area of metrology.
Ningxia Testing Institute of Metrology is located in the center of Yingchuan City, the capital of Ningxia. It covers an area about 6,000 square meters. It posses fix assets of 7.74 million yuan (of which there are instrument equipment worth 3.84 yuan). Some 67 items of standards have been set concerning of length, force, thermology, physics and chemistry, electricity etc. It is available to provide verification, calibration and testing services for more than 160 metrology and measuring instruments.
The institute is staffed by 78 persons, of them 16 are engaged in administration management and logistical services; and 58 are testing workers. The number of people with senior professional title and mediate professional title is 14 and 28 respectively, and there are 16 assistant engineers.
The Institute consists of: -
5 Sectors: General Administration, Professional Management, Quality Control, Finance and Personnel & Labor;
7 Laboratories: Force measurement, Length measurement, Electrical measurement, Thermology, Physics & Chemistry, Quantity of Flow, Weighing apparatus and Valuator of Taxi Inspection;
2 provincial level Stations of Quality Supervision and Inspection: Ningxia Measuring Products Quality Supervision and Inspection, Ningxia Quantitive Package Supervision and Inspection;
1 social intermediate metrology service agency: Station of Impartial Inspection of Glasses Quality.
In accordance with the activities of institution strengthening and development arranged by the State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, the staff of the Institute will, as always, exert their utmost to provide technical guarantee and qualified services to the society. To take the opportunity of the National Strategy to Explore the West in order to bring the metrology undertaking in Ningxia to a new height.
