基本情况：
新疆维吾尔自治区计量测试研究所的前身是1958年自治区商业厅商政科内的长度、热学、力学和电磁学四个检定组，1959年7月划归到自治区科委计量管理处，1978年4月作为新疆维吾尔自治区标准计量管理局的直属事业单位正式成立，1996年7月机构改革后为自治区质量技术监督局的直属事业单位，1999年8月1日该所与乌鲁木齐市计量检定测试所合并重组，名称未变。
该所现有员工180余名，其中高、中级技术人员占40%以上，实验室办公用房8300m2，仪器设备及固定资产原值1490余万元，内设7个职能管理部门，13个专业实验室，挂设1个计量器具产品质检站，1个计量公正行。现已建立、保存全疆最高计量标准和社会公用计量标准十大类123项，可开展长度、温度、力学、电学、无线电、时间频率、光学、声学、理化、电离辐射等十大计量400多种计量器具的检定、校准、检测和修理及六大类14种计量器具产品质量检验和定量包装商品计量监督检验工作，是新疆境内检测设备先进、技术力量雄厚的国家法定计量检定机构。
多年来，新疆计量测试研究所以科学管理为事业发展之保障，在完成计量检测工作的同时，不断提高服务质量，形成了统一的行为规范和运行规则，保证了管理机制的有效运行。2002年，该所结合已形成的组织文化，开始导入CIS战略，建立了CIS的形象识别系统（VI）。

Introduction:
Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Research Institute of Measurement & Testing Technology, the former name is the administrative section which is subordinate to the commercial Bureau of Autonomous Region in 1958.At that time, it included 4 verification groups, that is, engaging in length, temperature, quantities in mechanists, and electromagnetism measurement. Our research Institute was belonged to the metrological management Division of Autonomous Region since committee of science & technology in July, 1959. Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Management Bureau of Standards & Measurement was formally established in April, 1978. It’s subordinate to a government-supported service organ. the research structure had been attached to the government-supported unit under the leadership of the Autonomous Region Bureau of Quality & Technical Supervision since our organization’s reforms were carried out in July,1996. Our research institute was merged with Urumqi Measuring Institute of Verification & Testing Technology. The name still remains unchanged.
Xinjiang Institute of Measurement & Testing Technology has more than 180 staffs, of whom, above 40 percent are senior engineers and middle-rank technicians. Our laboratories cover 8300m2 , all equipment & fixed capital are up to 14.9 million Yuan, which has set up 7 management departments , 13 laboratories , one Quality Inspection station for Metrological instrument & Product with a measuring fair station .Our institute has established and maintained the highest-class metrological standards , 123 metrological benchmarks for public use , which cover quantities such as length , temperature , mechanics , electricity , time/frequency , optics , acoustics , physics & chemistry , ionizing radiation etc . of which , more than 400 kinds of supervision & inspection for measuring instrument and product , metrological supervision & Inspection for commodities’ packed by bulk or by weight .The Research Institute is a legal verification organization of china ,with advanced technology & equipment, skilled technicians within the range of Xinjiang .
For many years, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Research Institute of Measurement & Testing has been persisting in scientific management in order to develop our cause while we have finished our measuring work, improving our service quality continuously, establishing united rules about one’s behavior and operation so as to ensure effective operation in managerial system. The Research Institute formed its organizing culture, began to introduce CIS strategy and established VI vision identification system of CIS in 2002.
